Sabetta
Located in the eastern coast of the Yamal Peninsula, Sabetta is a major hub of the
Yamal LNG Project. The camp was first built in the 1980’s to accommodate an oil and gas
exploration crew. Over the Project’s life, modern infrastructure was built in Sabetta, including living
quarters and amenities: dining halls, medical facilities, saunas, sports facilities, an admin building, a hotel,
a fuel and lubricant storage depot, a boiler house, sewage and water treatment facilities, and a fire
station.
